Fragments of Being

Magic in everything

It’s in the yellow leaf in your path,
The carefree rain drops,
The crack of lightening bolt,
The skies thunderous roar,
Search for it. You’ll find it.

aLive.

It is not how long we live, it is how intense we live, it how much we control our own life, our own destiny. Not my words but of Godfrey Reggio.

The thing about shattering completely is being able to pick up the pieces and collect the dust of your being to piece yourself together the way you like. There might be gaps of emptiness,  sharp protruding edges or a jagged mess, at least they fit the way you want.

Sometimes we get so occupied playing a part in our own stories that we forgot our part in other peoples stories.

Joy Rides

Jacketed kids riding the cold breeze,

Ears redden, noses freeze,

Kinda about to sneeze,

Joy on lease,

Awaiting release,

Pedaling full speed,

On boulder shaped bricks,

Evading moving pricks,

Holding in our shrieks,

Happiness reeks,

Taunting the trees,

Look at me flee,

The side walk disagrees,

Stop your hyperboles,

Warning turn back thee,

That’s the end of your spree,

We dart here and there,

without care, still can't escape the square.

Brotherhood of MAN

When the world makes you feel like a fool,

Your friends make you feel like you are cool.

Purpose In Chaos and Complexities.

The beauty of living is finding meaning, purpose and yourself in chaos. You are never going to find it if you keep running away from chaos.

We trap ourselves in open cages, don’t we.

Sometimes life sends you on a detour to lead to the right path.

Broken, with no hope.

A broken heart, robbed of love,

Mind emptied of words,

Darkness in my eyes saw no light,

My soul had lost the fight,

Smoke in my lungs,

Whiskey in my blood,

Numbness in my broken mind,

Thunderous aches in my spine,

I smile at the world as if I’m fine,

No one could tell I was lying,

That I was slowly dying,

My insides decrying,

Came to the rescue no friend of mine,

My blood was their sweet wine,

I didn’t know who was mine,

If I was ever going to be fine,

My soul in a void,

My hope recoiled,

My will tried,

My tears dried,

A part of me died,

The voices inside me lied,

Wounds cut open wide,

I ask help from Freud,

My face didn’t feel familiar,

Shadows came nearer,

Thoughts got wilder,

Stranger to myself,

Carrying a cold heart,

I walked alone aimlessly,

Seeking solace in savagery,

Breathing felt like drudgery,

Didn’t know how it was going to end,

If I could see the light again.

The flames no longer blaze,

The world is covered in haze,

The clouds don’t thunder,

The universe makes blunders,

The birds don’t soar,

Trees don’t roar,

The lake lies stagnant,

The cold winds run rampant,

Sound of Hello forgotten,

Goodbyes begotten.

It wasn’t to be for him.

Maybe it could happen for me.

Leo Tolstoy once said, ‘Respect was invented to cover the empty place where love should be,’ I guess that is why men remain so empty all their life.

You ask me what I have been doing?

Stitching up my bleeding wounds,

Picking up my broken pieces,

Caressing my scars,

Accepting my imperfections.

Trying to be whole.

Down to up

When people pull you down, use it to catapult yourself beyond the clouds.

Pink Buffaloes

Pink buffaloes running wild and free,

No destination to be,

A journey carefree,

Heart full of glee,

Foxes they used to be,

Cunning, intelligent, Wiley,

But now are more smiley,

More lively,

A branch broke,

My spirit awoke,

Chains broke,

I see more hope,

Loved ones put me down,

They thought I was a clown,

I would frown,

But now I’m close to the crown,

There’s no slowing down,

It’s a countdown,

To the glorious dawn,

Done being a pawn,

I’m on the run,

Need no gun,

Just a hon,

And a little bit of fun,

Where is my bruv,

The people got no love,

Ain’t no dove,

Only push and shove.

Andhere mein mili taraon se nazre,

kaali chadaroein mein bhar aaye furze,

Betabi mein chamtakte rahe woh taare,

Chamakte chamakte toot gaye saare.

The wait

A tight squeeze,

Wobbly knees,

Souls in peace,

Heart no longer flees,

Blue and Pink,

cosmic ink,

heartbeats in sync,

the missing link,

Eyes like brine,

Her cynical lips on mine,

Oh she looks fine,

Even a little bit out of line,

Pulling her by her curvy hips,

Her silky tresses in my grips,

My heart playing skips,

Fuming like a sailor’s ship,

My head in her bosom,

Her heart playing the drum,

No more coffee and crumbs,

Only strums and thrums,

Her toes dancing on my feet,

Warm snuggles under a sheet,

Drinking whiskey neat,

Smoking dope shit,

Songs on repeat,

Stealing kisses like a treat,

Not a soul on the street,

Only you and me on the window seat.

Make it stand out.
