Cricket in America has gone from being recreational, to formal, to elitist, to social, and now somewhat has started to become professional. Cricket in America has immense potential considering the already existing support and fanbase present in the country. Cricket in America is still in its infancy stage in respect to the initiatives, facilities and programs made available to the cricket community in America. But with the effective strategies laid out by USA Cricket to develop and grow cricket in America present the sport with an opportunity to enter the mainstream American sports market.
USA cricket has mapped out a foundational plan focused on mainly five strategies: growing engagement; increasing participation levels; improving the performance of the national teams; operating sustainably; and building trust across the local cricket community.
That said, it is going to be a long and an arduous journey for expanding cricket in America. Cricket in America is not going to be an overnight success. Plenty of foundational work must be put in to ensure the growth of cricket in America.
